PBCC6 compiles to 8.3 filenames
« on: May 17, 2017, 11:50:58 AM »

For no good reason, when I compile in JellyFish using PBCC6, the EXE file is in 8.3 format.
It doesn't do that if I compile in the PB IDE.
I also have PBCC5, and it compiles to the correct long file name.
What can I do to correct this?
thanks

I was able to dig up the old JellyFish source code to see if anything in there would be causing this. If PBCC is selected as the compiler then JellyFish will check the file date/time of the exe. If the date is < "200112" then it does a conversion to shortnames otherwise it does not convert anything. Maybe your file date on your PBCC6 got changed somehow? Strange that it works ok for PBCC5 and not PBCC6.

It came out of it by itself... it started showing 8.3 in JF then the file would change name to the long name in the folder, as I watched.
Today, everything is as it was.
Who knows?
Thanks for checking.
