Previously had Ver 2.5 running sweetly.
I have downloaded and installed Ver 2.6, now I cannot get FireFly to run.
I get the following Message everytime I try to start FireFly.
Error: Access violation at 0x00C3749A(tried to read from 0xAE70C094), program terminated.
Help

Further to failed installation of Ver 2.6.
I used Control Panel Add/Remove to uninstall Ver 2.6, rebooted and tried again to install Ver 2.6. This time FireFly would not run at all, ie nothing happens.
Uninstalled Ver 2.6 and reinstalled Ver 2.5 All is well.
Fortunately I am up and running again with Ver 2.5 but 2.6 and my computer do not get on.

Hi Gian,
I know why the GPF occurs on some computers.... I will create a new install and upload it this evening. Sorry for the trouble.
I got that error originally too...can't remember what I did to install it.
I think it had to do with the folder not being there, so I created an empty one. That was during install though. I think the folder not being there cause something to not install. I'll have to get the update now for future installs.
Gian,
Version 2.65 was uploaded yesterday. Download it and see if the GPF has been taken care of. If not, please let me know.
Hi Paul,
Thank you very much for your prompt reply and tremendous support.
I have downloaded and installed Ver 2.65 on my fussy computer and I can report that the GPF gremlins have been appeased.
Unfortunately I do have to report that the appearances of all of the button controls on my project have now changed from Ver 2.5 and the monochrome icon on my image button no longer displays correctly (blacks are now white).
More gremlins I know.
Regards
Gian

Hi Gian,
This "problem" which is actually a bug fix, was discussed at: http://www.planetsquires.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1924
:)
Thanks Paul,
Icon now displays correctly. How do you keep up the pace?
Looking forward to Ver 3.0
