Title: MLG Demo
Post by: James Klutho on November 01, 2009, 09:00:48 PM
This is small demo showing how to initialize, and capture notifications on a very simple FF3 app.  MLG can be downloaded here

http://www.planetsquires.com/mylittlegrid.html

for the help file and Powerbasic examples.  The demo version which included with FF3 is freeware and is capable of small grids.  The registered version is only $35 and capable of much larger grids.

Does this control still come with source code when bought...or am I thinking of another grid?  I don't see mention of it anymore.

I had a possible need come up and was playing with it.  It looks like the textbox in the grid is painting on top of the cell outline and the cell outline is drawn different than most grids with the outline extending beyond the cell bounds, so I wanted to make sure if things like this are found it is possible to fix easy.  Plus having the code allows enhancements, etc.

James,

I would like to use the demo version for a non-commercial, private use only project.  Is this OK?  What are the Demo versions specific limitations?

Thanks,

Peter

Poor James, going to get attacked from the year+ old thread I posted on...only one recent I could find.  :P

If it has source code, you wouldn't really need him to do the SLL.  Anyone could create it or just use the code.

He'd be the final answer too, but I was under the impression that the Demo/Limited version was fine for Private use.  Possibly even commercial, but it is limited and wouldn't do much in a commercial setting.

Mentions source code and talks of using it as you wish.  I just want to make sure the code is still included and curious how long plans for development/support are with everyone dropping like flies lately.  The description page here doesn't go into those details.

It is my understanding that Jim is simply maintaining the existing code base and not adding any new features. That is why he has released the source code to registered users. Anyone can then modify the grid to suit their specific needs.
