Title: Text Search
Post by: Richard Marchessault on November 12, 2009, 09:44:37 PM
Started working with FF3 and loving it.

Love the new search function. When I am searching I can press F3 to find the next instance of the search phrase. If I copy text while I am searching it replaces the text to search for and now searches for the text I copied. Not sure if this is a feature or a bug.

If you like it then its a feature... if you don't then it's a bug.  :)

F3 repeats the find but only within the current procedure. To continue the find outside the current procedure the find dialog box needs to be open.

Cool! I'm gonna keep this in mind as an answer to some of my customers!

I'm starting to expect this convenient behavior from other applications too. So now Dreamweaver often ticks me off because it behaves less convenient. The closest resemblance it has is that I can highlight a word and open the search dialog to have it change the search word to the highlighted phrase, automatically.
