User Tools is a great tool, so any improvement I support. A little bit of explanation would be welcome.
Haakon you should give your exact 'user specification requirements'  ;)

I was wondering too. FF3 has a user tool menu where you can add your own tools and organize them. Or did you mean something different, Haakon.

Yeah - only the peasants were reset to nothing. Deserves us right, or?

If you check the SQLitening forum there the statistics were preserved.

The picture is an enhancement of the current dialog. Here the new features are highlighted in red. I'm not in a mood to write so much today, and I thought you guys could have a go on interpreting and adding your slightly unbiased thoughts before I elaborate the less obvious thought incorporated into the image.

I have hinted to Paul that we're reset and that I miss the stats we had in previous versions of the forums ...

Not sure what happened with the stats. I think it was due to the movement of people to different user groups and importing from the old forum. Well, that's my story :)  I will take a look at the old forum and move the post count to this one. It is a shame not to have the posts over the years reflected in everyone's totals.

.... or, maybe I should reset the post counts every week. Then it will be a race to see who contributes the most each week. :D

I like the new dialog a lot. Thanks Haakon. You always seem to be able to translate what's in my head to a better usable design.

I assume that the "dividers" in the left hand pane are simple the separator bars that would display in the FF3 top menu.

If I pressed the "Parameters" button then what would I see? A popup list of all parameters? Actually, if that is the case then that button could be moved to the immediate right of the Parameters textbox (just under the Command Line button [...]).

In the Maintenance --> Forum maintenance there is an option called "Recount all forum totals and statistics." Not sure however if this will update the number of posts of each user.

I have the post counts from the old forum (luckily I had not deleted that database yet). If you see your post counts changing over the next little while then it's me updating your stats. I'll add your current post count to the post count from the old forum.

QuoteA popup list of all parameters?

Almost spot on with every "guess" Paul. 8o)

I thought of also showing the values that would currently be returned, as that would make the parameter options even more self explanatory and leave out any doubt to for instance if the paths returned has trailing backslashes or not.

Btw: the Test Tool button could just as well be named "Run Tool" ...
