Title: Resource Hacker updated — although it has been dead for years
Post by: Haakon Birkeland on December 05, 2009, 06:58:18 PM
« I needed to access resources in a 64bit Windows executable so I've just updated Resource Hacker (http://angusj.com/resourcehacker)TMto open (ie decompile/recompile) these files too. This new version alsodisplays PNG image resources.

However, please understand that I have nointention of reviving this project so please DON'T ask for otherfeatures. Also, because I've barely tested this new version I'mreleasing it as a trial version only. You can download this new trial(beta) version here

I've got another application (XN Resource Editor) that, if I remember correctly, was supposed to replaced ResHackfor some reason â€" but I never used it much and can't say on the fly which is better. Delphi source code is available on it too.

As for ResHack, I recall translating Qualcomm's Eudora (yes, all of it) many(!) years ago.
