Title: PB Forums???
Post by: Gary Stout on December 06, 2009, 08:06:39 PM
I assume PB's site must be down. I have tried for the past 2 days to get into the forums and no luck. I hope they haven't been bought out by M$......oh wait, PB doesn't produce bloated code, unless you add the #BLOAT command  ::)
  Would never work for M$

I had sent a message to Paul, asking him the same thing and if he had a way to contact anyone at PowerBasic, to let them know. From what I can tell, there's some intermittent connectivity to their site from the east coast and midwest (I tested from New York and Chicago), but the last time I checked, traffic from the west coast is just being dumped on the floor. I can get to Sunline, which is PowerBasic's service provider, so it's not a general outage in the area. Global Crossing may be advertising a bad route, or perhaps some servers fell over.

No luck from Florida either.

I tried to ping powerbasic.com. I get a TTL (Time To Live) time out. There must be a network configuration problem.
Yep, do a tracert and I get in an infinite loop on  node-208-51-24-70 [208.51.24.70]. Just keep looping until TTL occurs. Not sure if this is a powerbasic node or some ISP up the pipe out of their control.

Can someone else run "tracert powerbasic.com" at the command prompt and see what they get?

No chance from Germany either...

That's exactly where I got stuck too.

Looks like they're back in business.

Guess, it was some sort of weekend desaster. Such things always tend to occur late Fridey afternoon or so.
