Title: SourceCode Handling/Viewing
Post by: mwmeeks on April 25, 2004, 06:29:11 PM
Hi Paul and Other FF Users.

I'm so use to using JellyFish - that I get spoiled sometimes.

In FF:
------------
sub WhyNot()

    Rem local LocAl or LoCaL never changes to proper case!
    local WhyNot as long

end sub

In JellyFish
------------
Sub WhyNot()

    Rem changes on the fly!
    Local WhyNot As Long

End Sub

JellyFish - makes the code more readble and changes on the fly.
FF - will leave the code in the state that it's typed in.

Is this on the Wish-List or future updates?

Keyboard Shortcuts:
In JellyFish - Alt-E-C = copy (which most of us are use to).

In FireFly - Alt-E-C = cut, plus - you have to hit the enter key for the action to take place. (which is more time consuming).

Since using FireFly - the (2) items above - takes it toll - when programming for hours on end.

Regards
Mike

Hi Mike,

Make sure that the correct option is selected in "Tools", "Editor Options". On the second Tab, "Language/Tabs", ensure that "Fixup text case while typing language keywords" is checked. That should fix the keyword issue.

The second issue: I will update the FireFly menus so that they respond the same way as the JellyFish menus.

On another note, I am emailing you privately on the DLL creation issue using FireFly. Check you mailbox soon.

:thumbsup:

Thanks Mike, I aim to please.  :)

My mail server has been acting up today. I have not received any emails at all. I am pretty sure that mail is outgoing so you should receive that email from me, however, I may not receive any response from you. Maybe the incoming mail is being held. I have sent an email to my hosting company to check into it.

hmmm... yeah, something strange is happening with the incoming mail server. I have sent an email to the hosting company. They will get back to me. I have not received your emails - or anyone else's emails the entire day.

I will email you using a different address.

Good news - looks like my email is back up and running.

Bad news - it was my mistake that broke it today. :oops:
