Title: Snap to grid problems with FireFly 3 ?
Post by: Britta Doerre on March 04, 2010, 03:41:48 PM
The forms i create are mostly integrated into DLLs serving as tools. They are regulary very small and may integrate all kinds of controls on an area of in average 5 x 7 cm. Today i tried to arranged some buttons, some labels, a one line text box and a list box. I noticed that it seems to be hard to snap to a 4x4 grid size. Very often, it was not possible to align the controls the way i want. So i had mostly to edit their coordinates manually by keyboard input.
I'd like to know if this is 'state of the art' or depending from unsufficient settings in FireFly. Sometimes, even if the distance is more than one raster point, reszing of a control leads to freezing it's position showing it's dashed frame which does not refresh automatically. It seems that the grid then looses it's raster function, noticable by the effect, that i never get the control aligned to the grid points but anywhere between them. The control next to the current one, however, may move from grid point to grid point for some time, until....
