Title: Undo versus Ctrl-Z oddness
Post by: John Waalkes on June 29, 2010, 03:41:58 PM
I've noticed some odd behavior when doing an Undo of editing changes.

1) Sometimes the Undo feature skips some of the changes that I have made and instead jumps to earlier changes.

2) Ctrl-Z sometimes gets stuck in a Undo-Redo loop, alternating between taking the change out and then putting it back in again. Over and over again. This can sometimes be corrected by going to the Edit menu and selecting Undo from there.

3) As mentioned in #2, Ctrl-Z and Undo from the Edit menu sometimes act differently.

I'm using FF3.09, so I am as current as it gets. :)

Thanks, :)

John

I have encountered CTRL-Z skipping to unexpected / out of sequence edits as well.
I haven't been able to work out a sequence of events to duplicate it yet though.

David

Same here. I think, but have not been able to reproduce the results either.

Yes, the undo/redo can be a little wonky... I noted this in a bug advisory back in November: http://www.planetsquires.com/protect/forum/index.php?topic=1961.0

I need to work on that area of the code editor for sure.
