Title: Execute Only
Post by: Anonymous on May 22, 2004, 07:39:19 AM
FireFly presently has two menu options available - compile only, and compile and execute.

Would it be possible to add a 3rd option - execute only? This would launch the program under development (which presumably was compiled earlier) without going thru the compile stage.

Reason being is that sometimes you are working on a user interface issue and just want to remind yourself of how the UI currently looks. At that point in time you might be halfway thru changing the source code, making it non-compilable, so you then have to dive out to Windows Explorer to find the EXE to launch it.

I thought of this a couple of days ago also, just forgot to ask for it.

Yes, this is on the wish-list. Actually, it is only JellyFish Pro's wishlist as well.

In the meantime, create a shortcut to your EXE and drag it to the Windows Taskbar along the bottom of your screen. This would provide a quick means of getting the EXE to run without having to always pop over to Explorer.
