Title: We need beta testers :)
Post by: Elias Montoya on November 10, 2010, 04:24:01 PM
Well, its finally here. BasictoPHP is now a reality, and we are needing beta testers.
Although it is already complete, it is possible that some minor changes need to be done,
and many more features, commands and upgrades will be added, so, if you want to be
a beta tester, go for it. It will not be a paid task, but you will have access to test this
tool that, if you like PowerBASIC, and you program websites, you will love BasictoPHP.

Im not sure who applies, and im not entirely the one who decides, but im almost
certain most users here apply. Let me know if you want to participate. Beta testers
will have access to BasictoPHP's members area.

Elias,

I have a basic idea by the name of what the program does but can you explain a little more exactly what it does.

I'm always willing to test new software if its something I may be able to use

Basically you get something pretty much like the PowerBASIC IDE, you enter your code, and it converts it to PHP.

Now, the beauty of this is that it has a lot of advantages over using anything else. BasictoPHP offers
automatization for complex tasks as creating MySQL query strings Using UDT's, Encoding your script (requires third party ad on like ionCube), Testing in 1 click (includes uploading to your FTP server), PHP code preview, and many other goodies that are hard to emulate in PBCC.

Plus, you get access to all of the PHP functions as well! If you find a PHP script in the internet, and you want to
use in your BASIC project, you can insert it in PHP tags.

You can use TYPE's (UDT's), Macros, Functions, variable definitions... etc, in the same fashion as in PowerBASIC.

You can embed html forms, images or any kind of file within your PHP script. The IDE also allows you to edit HTML
forms.

It has a pretty neat form to output forms!!!

So, if you want to create a website in no time, this is for you!  :)

Hello Elias,

I'd be very much interested in testing. I am just about to start a project that will use a Web Server Component. So this might be a good opportunity.

That would be nice Rolf. :)

Do you have access to an instant messenger? It would be nice to have a 1 or 2 minute conversation every 2 or 3 days if possible.

Im about to leave again but my partner will be here.
