Title: Copy / Paste inside the Project Notes/Tasks form
Post by: Jean-pierre Leroy on March 04, 2012, 01:53:17 PM
Hi Paul,

Two minor issues inside the Porject Notes/Tasks form.

When we are in the "Project Notes" tab:

1. We can't use the shortcut Ctrl-C to copy some text; we always have to use the contextual menu to copy some text.
2. If we use the shortcut Ctrl-v to insert some text, the text is inserted in the code instead of the Project  Notes; if we want to insert some text we have to use the contextual menu.

Thanks,
Jean-Pierre

Thanks Jean-Pierre, I entered this into my bug tracker to get fixed for the next update.

Jean-Pierre,

This time it's unintentional that Ctrl-c and Ctrl-v were replaced, but a fair number of programs out there re-purpose those shortcuts to be something that the programmer thought would be more useful for other things.

I can still say that I don't remember any application that has replaced the "Windows standard" editing shortcuts (a few password fields out there have blocked it though).  Even in this case, Ctrl-Ins (Copy), Shift-Ins (Paste) and Shift-Del (Cut) are still functional.

I am not trying to get you to switch to "My way" but just letting you know it exists (if you didn't already). :)
