Title: Jellyfish Pro question
Post by: Gary Stout on January 23, 2013, 07:02:50 PM
Paul or Jose,

I have been a long time Jellyfish Pro user and just recently discover Jose' CSED editor. Both of these editors are light years ahead of PB Edit. I like the folding options built into CSED, but there is one thing I very much miss that JPro has. Way back in the day, I had made a request in JPro to be able to press F10 and then e (edit) and (c) for copy or (p) for paste, similar to the way other word processors work, and you graciously added the feature. Do you have any idea what changes I would have to make in the CSED source to give it these capabilities? I know right now F10 brings up the Message Box editor, but I can live without that functionality to have the F10 key work like JPro did.

Thanks in advance,
Gary Stout

What a convoluted way! These operations are controled by the Scintilla control itself and uses the standard Windows shortcuts Ctr+C, Ctrl+X and Ctrl+V.

Jose,

From your reply, does that mean it is not possible to do it???

First remove F10 as an accelerator key in CSED_MENU and then add your code in the %SCN_CHARADDED message of the SCI_OnNotify function in CSED_SCI.INC.

Thanks Jose',

Looks like I now have things working the way I have been using JPro for years. Its hard to teach an old dog new tricks. The modifications were minimal and works great!

Thanks again,
Gary
