Title: Is it possible to get completion suggestions
Post by: J P Eskdale on October 27, 2013, 06:49:49 PM
If you are using Jose's CSED editor and press Ctrl Space after you have started typing a word you get a list of suggestions from which you can select the one you want - is there an equivalent key sequence in Firefly - When you don't know the exact name or the name is a long function name, this saves a great deal of time.  It seems hard to believe its not there or some equivalent.  Could someone point me in the direction of how they work with the built in editor.
Thanks
Jon

FF3 does not have that functionality. It only pops up code tip lists when the user types certain characters after a function name (like typing a "(" or a Space after FF_Control_SetText).

FF4 will have an incredible intellisense/codetip/completion engine.

Me too.
I'll stay with FF and hopefully PowerBasic.
