oh, the nostalgia
I found an old change log for the JellyFish Pro Editor. Here is the first entry:
February 26, 2002 Version 1.00
===============================
Initial Release.
Wow, 15 years ago....
Still a fine piece of software. And still in use by many, I'm sure ...
Good job, Paul !

Eddy VANESCH,
This notification is just a friendly reminder (not a bill) that on March 19, 2002 you placed an order for JellyFish Pro Editor. This order was paid using your VISA, whose last 4 digits are xxxx, and will be appearing on your billing statement shortly. The charge will appear as RegSoft.com, Inc. in the amount of $19.95 USD.
:D
That's awesome Eddy! You were one of the early customers for sure! :)
I find nostalgia isn't what it used to be Paul. Anyway, is this going to be a competition like when old hippies say "I was at Woodstock"? If so... "I bought Jellyfish!" and beat you to it by a whisker Eddy. :)

Hi David, Attached is the registered version of the JellyFish Pro Editor.
LOL, David, I'm starting to feel a little like an old hippie these days. I was watching the Live Aid concert from 1985 and started to feel old thinking, "Man, that just seemed like yesterday".... :)
Live Aid, now that takes me back and yes it was a loooong time ago wasn't it? It's more my generation than Woodstock too. Thanks Paul you've made me feel very old today. :) As we're on a musical theme, this sentiment was summed up so well by Fred Wedlock (who was from my neck of the woods in the UK) in his humorous song "The Oldest Swinger In Town" which goes "when it takes you all night to do what you used to do all night... you're the oldest swinger in town". I think maybe he was singing about writing code, not sure though :)

LOL, love it !! :)

I just found purchase records from 15 years ago.... I gave 4 free copies to beta testers, and then myself and Paul Noble had a joint JellyFish/Lynx promotion. The first customer seems to have been Eric von Bostel on Feb 26, 2002 who purchased as part of the bundle. Our friends Patrice, James and David were shortly after that one along with a few other names from back in the day. Nice reading through the names of all the programmers from the PowerBasic forum.
David beat me by one day. Lets move on to FF! :)

Well Knuth, as they used to say to me at school "It's not the taking part that counts... it's the winning!" (or something like that). ;)
