Title: MS Excel
Post by: Petrus Vorster on July 21, 2023, 09:11:29 AM
Hi All

I used the Sll for Excel extensively in Powerbasic.
I was looking for a thread here on WINFBE and Freebasic.

Could someone point me in the right direction please?
It is quite important that I get the creation of Excel soreadsheets righ before continuing with my current project.

Regards,

Peter

I don't think that I ever created that Excel code for FreeBasic. I guess that Excel still reads that extremely old XML file format?

I could translate the basics of that PowerBasic code to FreeBasic for you. I just need to find the original source first. LOL

Hi Paul

I dont know how far back Microsoft supports certain files for Excel.
The Sll also worked with LibreOffice since it supports that file format.
It still works on my Windows10 PC with Libre7 and At Work on win7 with Office13.

I dont think we will upgrade anytime soon, so that version should probably still work fine.

Peter
