Is it possible to have both FF2.99 and  FF3 installed without any problems? I have a few projects still in v2.99 that I haven't had time to convert to the new IDE. I don't want to ruin my current install with the new version if there will be a conflict.

There should be no problem at all as long as you install them in two separate folders. The registration information works differently in each version.
