Choosing Label background colours

Paul,

Thanks for the software, this is going to be great!

I downloaded, installed and registered just fine on my WinXP Pro.

I started a new form and changed the background colour using the selector provided. I happily noted that you used a routine similar to one that I had written ( http://www.powerbasic.com/support/forums/Forum7/HTML/001511.html ) that loaded 16 random 'fancy' colours in the Custom Color boxes of the dialog.

I now selected a label and put it on the form, expecting to choose the same background colour from my 'saved' background colour, but your Custom Color  dialog starts with 16 NEW colours.

The standard colour dialog provides 16 blank boxes, but remembers any custom colour that you previously used, so that the next time you need the same colour you can pick from one of your custom colours without having to match any colours.

The only way I can see to change the background of my label is to jot down the RGB colour and place that in the correct spot in the Custom Dialog, because FireFly's background property box only allows you to pick a predetermined colour. You can't simply enter a new colour.

In this case... I think the standard colour selector dialog would be better than the improved version.  :)

Regards,

Hi Bob,

I see what you mean. Nice observation.  :)

I will put in on the new "FireFly To-Do List".

This has been fixed. Custom colors can now be saved across sessions. Fix will be in update 1.03.
