I got a very bad offer for my project, the BASIC php maker.
But I think i am going to accept it because i am broke.

Any thoughts?

Elias,

It's a tough decision for sure. I'm not so sure we can really help much because we don't know the entire situation. Both your financial situation and the potential marketability and profitability of your PHP maker.

I would hate to see you loose it as you seem really enthusiastic about it. The easiest work we'll ever do is work that we love to do.  The only help I see fit to offer is to encourage you not to make a quick, emotional, decision.  Take your time, ask your family and close friends.

Good luck,

David

Thanx for the feedback David.

You are right, i am enthusiastic because i know it is a good project,
php is a very ugly programming language used only because we have
no better options.

The fact that the variables are case sensitive, makes
it hard to track bugs... the line continuation system is awful... the bracket
system is far less than intuitive... rules for quotation marks change according
to some rules that you have no option than learn them forcefully....
Concatenating MySQL statements and strings in general is a pain... You have no
macros, You have no UDT's... String handling features are overcryptic... And the
list goes on and on... thats why i know this is a good project. Its a huge time saver,
and supports most of the features of PowerBASIC. Not the same speed definately,
because the generated code is php. But... imagine GOSUB and RETURN working
the same way as in PB?

I wish the buyer gets all the profit i was going to get. Unfortunately my situation
cant wait.

Hi Elias,

If at all possible, don't sell, license it.

All the Best,

Marc
