In a way, it seems like Vivian is using Chris and his naivety to keep PB going and feeding him some info to post on the forums and buy more time.

I should clarify this to mean I think this is how it will "seem" to many when the bottom falls out of PB, due to Chris's behavior and the way he is promoting his "relationship" with Vivian.  He really is making matters worse.  I truly do feel sorry for Vivian in all of this.

Yes, Eric has this information.  But, Eric also has information we are not privy to.  Eric is more aware of what is going on than any other community member.  When Eric played his hand, he kinda forced PB to respond.  The ball is in their court now.

My knowledge of behind the scenes info at PB ceased some time ago when a friend since the 80s and former colleague became no longer employed by PB.

If somebody wants to know some behind the scenes info on PB, read between the lines of some comments that Tom Hanlin made.  In his own quirky way, he revealed info about the state of products and the state of the company itself.
