I noticed the WHOIS has changed, still says "Bob Zale" but the email says troy@leaderchip.com

They're still using Network Solutions as their registrar and DNS... which means IP address changes take days to propagate

(I use eNom, takes minutes to change a server IP address)

Incidentally 'Leaderchip.com' seems to be providing IT services support in south florida area.

I sent an email to PowerBASIC, not to worry.. read below..

Actually we moved into a new shop, and have more resources to help us out with.  The website may be down for another day or 2, and the phone is in the process of switching carriers, possibly going voip.  Sorry for any difficulty, we are trying to get this up as fast as possible.

Our email server is part of the installation, so we have to deal with this on a email-by-email basis.

When our servers are 100% up we will be doing some more sales, so keep checking in!

Thank you,

I have 11 domains registered with NetSol and I noticed their Name Server (NS) updates are very fast to effect.

Examples when I changed hosting (therefore NS) or bought new domains and  host somewhere else (I do not have hosting at NetSol), my update on their NS to point to my hosting take effect in a few minutes, provided I do not use my ISP proxy server in IE. If I use my ISP proxy, it will take 2 days before I can see my website again. Due to proxy cache I think.

PB's NS are at this time ns27.worldnic.com and ns28.worldnic.com. Both belong to NetSol. If they are hosted by NetSol then it is strange that website is down. If hosted by leaderchip.com then why NS is not theirs?

Well, more sales, that's good and all... but... sure would be nice to get some *support*... I'm yet to get a HISTORY.TXT for the last release.

Just talked to Jim Bailey on the phone and they are having ISP and phone problems and hope to be up tonight.  The company is expanding!

Jim Dunn

Would be interesting to see the business plan for "expanding"... there's a small pool of customers.

Don't confuse the number of customers with the number of forum members. When I earned my life as a programmer, I wasn't member of any forum.

Marc van Cauwenberghe

Anyone have any idea about how many customers we are talking about?

Looks like it is down again, today.  9/6/13.

Very disappointing. I wish they would get their act together. :(
