Problem using images with transparent backgrounds in button controls

Gif or PNG images that have transparent backgrounds don't seem to work in any button controls. (RR, XP, Toolbar) The images show up in the image library, but disappear in the compiled program. In some cases they don't even appear in the editor when they are attached to a control. (They show up in the XP button, but not the RR button.)  The images do work properly in a fireimage control

Most controls only work with Icons and/or Bitmaps. This is just the way that Windows works, not much that we can do about it.

BTW - Here is a really nice freeware icon editor that I found:

If you have a bitmap that already has transparency, just  import the image and export the icon
