Format Menu Alignment and Spacing

I've found these to be a great timesaver lately in a couple projects, and would like to see even more improvements.

In the Alignment options it uses the focused control to align with, but in spacing it doesn't...from what I can tell it moves up or left.  Say for instance I have 2 controls side by side and select to remove spacing.  It always moves the right control left.  And if I have 2 controls going vertical it will always move the bottom one up.

I would say to make it only move the selected control, but then the logic for multiple controls would be messed up...perhaps use the selected/focused control as the anchor point?  Move controls toward it when shrinking/removing the space, etc.  Then there will at least always be a known direction and when I use it for two controls I can select the one I don't want to move.
