that the workspace window would still be there if I changed Tabs

that the workspace could have links to other files such as ini files or database files, etc (hyperlinks)

that a search that I do will be in the hole project not just the current module.

Thanks

Uncheck the "Environment Option" called "Auto-Hide FireFly Workspace when in Code Editor."

That is a good idea, Something like a branch on the tree called "Other Files" or something like that.

I wish for that as well. No, wait, I can't wish for things... arrrgh! :D
That has been asked for in the past by others and is high on the wish-list. It is a little tricky given the current code editor that FireFly uses.

Which brings me to nag about EDM again..    Do you have the time to work on it at all? Even you only have 24 hours at your disposal, I assume.  :)

Funny you should ask... myself and Bruce Brown only spoke about EDM two days ago! The project is alive and there are a couple of fixups that I need to make before the DLL is released. I will announce more in these forums when the time is right.

EDM will serve as the base code editing component for all my software - eventually.

Paul sorry it took so long but:

if I uncheck the "Auto-Hide FireFly Workspace when in Code Editor."  the workspace window still disappears when I change tabs  :?

Which Tabs are causing you the problem - the Tabs just beneath the main application's toolbar, or the tab at the bottom of the designer (just above the status bar) that allows switching between the designer and code editor?

Marc Van Cauwenberghe

The windows disappears if I change from code editor to form designer and also if I change between the different tabs on top (forms)

Is there a checkmark next to the "FireFly Workspace" menu item under the "View" menu? If not, try clicking on that menu option and try again.

Sorry,

although it is a bit confusing, shouldn't F9 trigger that checkmark?

I see what you mean, yes, it can be confusing. F9 probably should trigger the checkmark.
