I'm sure right now you must be nervous as H :twisted: ell, what with the new release and all.  A few kinks are bound to pop-up, especially with something as complex as FireFly.  

As you already have a few very successful products you probably don't need the words of encouragement but the product is fantastic.  This is something many of us have dreamed about for a long time.  This is what I thought PBForms was GOING to be (I was a PowerGen owner and was used to SDK).  

You really have put alot of hard work into the product and it shows.  Keep up the great work...V1 is always a fun experience.

Thanks George, you must be reading my mind.  With every bug report I get a little more nervous. I intend to patch up the problems quickly and release frequent updates to ensure that the product meets expectations. I will also write a 20 Minute Guide to using OCX's with FireFly.

Lots of sleepless nights still ahead!  :mrgreen:

George summed up my thoughts also.  This has the making's of a valuable product.  I don't think there has ever been a 3rd party product for PB as much anticipated as FireFly.  

Keep up the great work, and get some well deserved rest.

I'd just like to add my voice to George and Kevin's - FireFly is an excellent product already and promises to be truly invaluable! As far as I'm concerned, this is the editor that should be supplied with PB!

Naturally there will be some small issues to begin with. I've found a few myself, although mostly ones which have already been reported. But (one of) the impressive thing(s) to me is that none of these has actually stopped me working - at worst they're a minor inconvenience - and FireFly hasn't crashed once! I've used lots of other products where I couldn't honestly say that, even when they're on version 5 and cost hundreds of pounds!

So please do keep up the good work. Personally I think that PowerBASIC should be paying you too, because I'm sure that FireFly will make PB even more popular and accessible, especially among people looking for a VB replacement.

I see you posting away here...then again so am I  :wink: but I ain't the religious type.

Seriously though, take some time with the family or whatever it is that helps you relax.  Let the brain unwind and come back with a fresh mind, we won't hold you to the grindstone.

No time for breaks....

Actually, my lady and I went to my parents house for a big Easter feast of turkey and all the trimmings. hmmmmm, yummy. My brothers and sister and their families were there as well. Had a really good time. When I got home, I was able to squeeze in an hour of programming before I went to bed.

Version 1.03 is looking really good. A lot of the growing pains are working themselves out now. I have a couple of final things that I want to implement and then I will post the update.

Paul, I would like to add my congratulations as well - this is a product that I am really enjoying working with - it makes dealing with SDK style coding much less of a tedious chore than it often is, but gives a lot of flexibility to the programmer.  Keep up the great work.
