Been using WYSIWYG Web Builder for a little bit as suggested by a few PB users and Paul...excellent product too.  Tried to find an editor to edit PHP better though since WWB is limited there and with custom layouts...came across a program called HTML Kit.  Website has a free version they call 292 at: http://www.htmlkit.com

So far it appears to be a very interesting editor and sort of a cross between word processor and notepad.  Still figuring it out since it has a ton of options for a free app.  I kinda like some of the features like a smaller Office 2007 type Ribbon Bar...could use some labels and it would be perfect (Paid version appears to go with the more 2007 larger ribbon look).  I like how the editor has the option for showing hidden chars like Word does where you can see spaces/tabs/returns and the highlight line option where it puts a line above and below the current line looks cool too.  Could be some interesting additions to the FF editor.  A little cluttered since it has everything AND the Kitchen Sink, but looks pretty useful so far.

To edit my PHP code I use Notepad++, check it out.

I had heard many use it.  Never downloaded it till now though.  I guess it would be a nice replacement, but is missing some HTML specific stuff.  I like how it splits the EOL chars into CR and LF...doesn't show spaces as dots though.  The other thing I saw in HTML Kit that was cool are the +- Up/Down controls in the preferences.  They look cool compared to the normal Up/Down...would be a cool custom control.

I used to do notepad, but I've really started to like Microsoft Expression Web 3.

http://www.microsoft.com/Expression/products/Upgrade.aspx

It is $79 to upgrade or $149 for full version.  It comes with a 60 day, downloadable free trial:

Also neat, the upgrade price applies if you are a licensed user of ANY of these products:

Any Microsoft Expression product
Any Adobe Creative Suite product
Any Microsoft Office product
