Hi all,

Firstly, I always admired all the professional tools of Mr.Paul and the open and fair way in which he always discussed matters with us here in this forum.

I have a simple question: what would you recommend for new projects?

1) Firefly (I confess that I love him), but I don't know if he will be discontinued after the WINFBE's new Visual Designer...

2) WINFBE, until Mr.Paul release his new Visual Designer...

I confess that I'm a little bit confuse about it, and I would very much like to hear your opinions.

Thank you in advanced.

Hi Flavio,

When I had to start a new project immediately, then I would recommend to use FireFly.

I assume that Paul will make a (sort of) conversion program to use the FireFly code in WINFBE.

I agree with Klaas on this issue. FireFly is your best option currently if you need a visual designer. Once the visual designer is finished in WinFBE then you should use that option. I will try my best to make it viable to convert FireFly projects into WinFBE projects. In the longer term, once WinFBE has a visual designer I will discontinue FireFly use (and as you have noticed over the past year or so, there has been virtually nothing done with FireFly). With Jose's WinFBX help, WinFBE is much more powerful than FireFly and is fully unicode enabled. It is also open source which ensures that it should be remain a viable development tool into the future.
